Major motorway near Sheffield remains closed after crash
A major motorway near Sheffield remains closed this afternoon after two men were injured in a crash.
Emergency services, including the air ambulance, were called to the link-road, which connects the M18 southbound and the M1 northbound, at around 3.10pm.
A police spokesman said two men were taken to the Northern General Hosptial with non-life threatening back and neck injuries - one via road ambulance and one via air ambulance - after the van they were travelling in collided with the central reservation.
Highways England said the road remained closed as of 5.30pm and advised motorists to expect delays.
