M1 closure in South Yorkshire due to 'concerns over man on bridge'
Part of the M1 was closed in South Yorkshire today amid concerns for the safety of a man on the bridge over the motorway.
The road was closed both northbound and southbound at junction 37 between Darton and Barnsley while emergency services dealt with the incident at about 2pm.
The man was taken to hospital and the motorway has since been reopened.
