Luscious lunch for city bishop

Have your say

Youth project Food-i provided lunch for the Bishop of Sheffield Steven Croft as he visited clergy in the north of Sheffield.

Food-i, which helps disengaged young people, provided a luxury buffet from its kitchens in Burngreave that included tomato, thyme and goats’ cheese tart, home made bread and parsnip and ginger soup.

Learning mentor Bex Roberts said: “It’s always great to provide food for someone of high profile as it can give the young people a real buzz to see food they’ve produced been valued.”

Bishop Steven was very impressed with the meal and said that the soup was especially delicious. The project also catered for former health minister Andrew Lansley.
