A LUCKY South Yorkshire resident could celebrate Valentine’s Day in style by picking up a £68,000 unclaimed lottery ticket bought in the area.
The ticket, bought in Rotherham, matched the five main numbers in the Euromillions draw on November 26 last year, and the winner has until May 25 to claim their prize.
If no-one comes forward before the deadline, then the prize money plus all the interest it has generated will go to charity.
A lottery spokesperson said: “We’re desperate to find this missing ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings.
“This really could be the best way to celebrate Valentine’s Day and show your partner how special they really are.
“We have the champagne on ice and a dozen red roses at hand, as well as our fingers crossed, that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win.”
Anyone who believes they have the winning ticket should call 0845 910 0000. With all lottery draws, players have 180 days to claim prizes.
