COMMUNITY activities being put on over the summer in Sheffield and Rotherham have received help from the National Lottery’s Awards for All fund.

Brinsworth Manor Infant School has received £9,973 to run holiday clubs at the school, which will also enable children making the transition to junior school to mix with older children.

In Sheffield, Target Housing will run sessions featuring alternative therapy, outdoor pursuits and volunteer training, for women with alcohol and substance misuse issues and offending behaviour with a £10,000 grant.

Also in Sheffield, the Steel City Amateur Boxing Club will use their £9,835 funding towards a programme to get young people into sport and away from anti-social behaviour and crime.
