Lorry skids off Woodhead Pass in treacherous conditions
This was the scene on one of the main transpennine routes this morning after a lorry skidded off the road and overturned in icy conditions.
Freezing temperatures overnight led to hazardous conditions on the A628 Woodhead Pass between Sheffield and Manchester.
The accident happened on a stretch of road close to Woodhead and Crowden.
