The Green Group lorry, which was emblazoned with the slogan 'dedicated to service', got jammed underneath the bridge at Thorne North railway station just after 8am.

The collision with the bridge caused significant damage to both the front and the back of the vehicle.

Police were called out to the scene to assist.

Free Press reader, Sheryl Greenwood said: "The lorry was too big for the bridge.

"I went for train at 8.20 and think it had just happened then."
