Longer opening for health advice unit

ROTHERHAM'S health advice centre is opening longer hours after public demand.

The centre, based in the RAIN Building, Eastwood Lane, is extending from four days a week to open Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm.

The centre holds a large range of information, including NHS services, illnesses, conditions and treatments.

It also gives details of support groups, how to complain about health services and how to get help with NHS costs.

There is also help at hand on how to quit smoking and eat healthily.

Sue Edwards, Health Advice Centre Manager, said: “We are pleased to now be open for a full five days each week and use a variety of resources to provide this information.

“Our computer database contains details of organisations and support groups for health and these are very useful for those diagnosed with a condition who wish to meet others in the same situation.”
