Long delays and huge queues as police close M1 after lorry crash

Derbyshire Police have shut off the motorway northbound from Junction 28 and Junction 29 after a road traffic collision between a lorry and a car.

Officers have instructed motorists to avoid the area and find an alternative travel route.

Police said in a tweet that the junctions are expected to be closed for ‘sometime’ and have thanked travellers for their patience.
