Long delays are being reported on a major Sheffield road after a ‘police incident’.

The incident took place on Barnsley Road near Northern General Hospital at around 5pm this evening.
The road is currently closed in both directions and buses are being diverted down Firth Park Road.
A short time ago bus company Stagecoach described the incident as an ‘accident’ but South Yorkshire Police are yet to comment.
