This is described as a provocative, gripping, and touchingly funny debut play by Dan Murphy about the internet, relationships and the anger that smoulders when we feel like we don’t belong.

When the body of a local teenager is found next to the war memorial in Romford, a community is left reeling.

A mother thinks of her son, a girl wanders the streets alone and two teenagers discover love – in a chat box, that is.

As the story pieces itself together, a question emerges: in a world of instant communication, how connected are we in reality?

Outside this chat window, anything could happen.

Dan Murphy is a writer from Essex whose work brings the voices of his home town to the stage.

His plays explore questions of gender, belonging and identity and are played out in finely-tuned relationships and sharply funny naturalism.
