A campaign for National Carers Week hopes to recognise the challenges faced by 19,000 carers in North Lincolnshire.
The campaign focuses on building ‘Carer Friendly Communities,’ which support carers to look after their loved ones or neighbours, while recognising that they are individuals with needs of their own.
The local Carers’ Support Service and staff from a range of organisations will be out and about in North Lincolnshire, letting carers know what support they can access.
Today, Epworth Wellbeing Hub will hold a ‘Carers’ Information Point’ at 10am and Redcombe Carer Group will host a ‘Strawberry Tea’ at 1pm. Tomorrow, Scunthorpe Wellbeing Hub will hold a ‘Carers’ Information Point’ at 9.30am and Sainsburys in Scunthorpe will be doing bag packing and running a Tombola from 11am. Tesco at Brigg will hold an information stand at 10am tomorrow and Saturday.
