Living wage, who for?

Wow! The living wage for 25 year olds and over has now been raised to £7.20p/hour which equates to £288/week before tax etc, that's if they manage a 40hr week of course, but what about the under 25's?

Pensioners on the basic pension don’t get anywhere near that figure but our wonderful MPs who can always be relied upon to fight the good fight on our behalf receive around a minimum £36 +/hour for a 40 hour week which equates to over £1420/week.

No EU compression of their wages of £74,000 basic/annum then?

That does not include their expenses, perks and pension funds of course.

Not bad, even for the few that do a full shift, is it?

Not to worry though, as the late Ronnie Corbett once said, “I know my place”.
