Two lucky teachers are getting the chance to put their questions direct to him this lunchtime.

See the live stream on The Star’s Facebook page - CLICK HEREThe National STEM Learning Centre and Network in York is the venue for the extraordinary link up, which will see primary school teachers from across the UK speak direct to Major Prake as part of his efforts to get more children engaging with science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

ESERO-UK, the UK space education office and the European Space Agency (ESA) will host the live in-flight call (IFC) at the York centre.

Allan Clements, manager of ESERO-UK, said “ESERO-UK is delighted to be hosting this historic call from the International Space Station at the National STEM Learning Centre in York.

“Tim is a fantastic ambassador for STEM education and for the UK. His mission has been inspiring for the whole of the UK.

“Through our Tim Peake Primary Project, ESERO-UK is engaging with primary school children across the UK with the objective of creating the next generation of scientists, engineers, inventors, doctors, astronauts – and all the other fantastic roles open to you when you study STEM subjects!”
