The game had plenty of chances but neither side could find a winner and both remain nine points clear of the relegation places.

Wood was the guiltiest player on the pitch for failing to break the deadlock after hitting the crossbar from close range and then heading over from just a yard out.

Warnock joked: "I showed him a match ball and told him this is what he should have had.

"He has missed from two foot and two inches. I don't know how he has done it and he doesn't either.

"He had four simple chances but that's life."

Warnock, whose side are now unbeaten in nine, believes the Millers are edging closer to avoiding the drop.

He said: "I'm delighted. It's a cracking point and both sides will argue that they should have won. A point probably suits both teams in the situation that we are both in.

"Tactically we were slightly amiss in the first half but we were more dominant in the second.

"You look at their squad on paper and why they're down there with us I will never know.

"I want to go 13 games unbeaten until the end of the season. We have got a super dressing room. We lack a little bit in the tactical side but we make up for it in what we have got under our shirts. It's my kind of football."
