Greg Halford's switch from villain to hero peaked late on when he hammered home from the spot, the winning goal in a 2-1 success.

Lee Frecklington had put the home side into the lead but Luke Murphy equalised and with Matt Derbyshire sent off for Rotherham it looked as if the visitors, would gain at least a point.

However, Halford came up trumps at the end to make it another memorable day in this dramatic season.

The win against one of Warnock's old clubs, which saw the return of former boss Steve Evans to the New York Stadium for the first time, stretched the Millers' unbeaten run to six - five of those ending in victory.

But the manager says everyone at Rotherham is remaining grounded.

"We still haven't achieved anything, we are good group of lads with our feet on the floor," Warnock said. "There are going to be hiccups, but I don't think a hiccup will bother us for the game after.

"We have to scrap for every point and that's what we will be doing. At 1-1 with 10 men most people would have taken the draw, but we're not like that!

"You have to work hard to get spirit like that, it's a good recipe, I have done it all my career and I enjoy it.

"It shows that we don't know when we are beaten. I am enjoying it.

"We have to enjoy every moment. To get the three points now is a bonus because we were up against it."
