Lion roars to success in good beer guide

BEER drinkers pressure group CAMRA has raised a glass to Doncaster market place alehouse The Red Lion.

The pub has been listed in this year’s edition of The Good Beer Guide after being chosen by local branch members following regular visits to check on the quality of the real ales on offer.

A CAMRA spokesman said: “The Red Lion deserves its place in the guide.

“It is our belief that if a licensee keeps his beers well and pours perfect pints, then everything else in the pub, including the welcome, food and other drinks, will be of a high standard.”

Pub manager Emma Sayles said: “Our customers love the range of real ales and the staff work hard to ensure they are kept and served in first-class condition.

“I am delighted the pub has been recognised.”
