WHAT a shambles.
Pray that your phoneline never gets slammed because reversing it is seemingly impossible.
Three telecoms companies have attempted to reinstate Ian Cocker’s phone over the last week - and failed.
Despite the best efforts of Sky - the offender - Opal and BT, Mr Cocker’s business is still cut off.
Mr Cocker’s Attercliffe engineering company has been without a landline since December when Sky ordered his phone supplier, Opal, to surrender the account.
Due to an error, Sky thought he wanted to switch supplier. And in setting him up they gave him a completely new phone number.
He protested, but shortly after was cut off. Seven weeks and a great deal of lost trade later, it still doesn’t work.
Mr Cocker said he’s been promised it will be this week.
That just leaves today.
And following that will come another battle - for compensation!
