Lifesavers will battle it out in Sheffield this weekend

Have your say

More than 225 lifesavers are set to test their skills at the Royal Life Saving Society UK’s 2015 National Lifesaving Championships in Sheffield this weekend.

Competitors have fought their way through a number of qualifying heats to take part in the annual event - which attracts the best lifesavers from across the UK and Ireland. They will battle it out with a series of tests, including a life-like emergency situation, a speed swim, tow race and a line throw rescue race. The competition will be held at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre on Saturday.
