Life-saving machines installed in Penistone and Stocksbridge
Two potentially life-saving defibrillators have been sited in Penistone and Stocksbridge after a fundraising campaign.
The machines can be used to treat someone having a heart attack and they have been sited at Clarke’s Chemist in Penistone and Fox Valley shopping centre in Stocksbridge. They have been donated thanks to Penistone and Stocksbridge Community First Responders, with support from Clarke’s Chemist and Dransfield Properties Ltd.
Donna Rennison, of Penistone and Stocksbridge Community First Responders, thanked the businesses for their help. She added the machines have been sited in “centralised highly populated areas” so they can be accessed quickly if a member of the public becomes unwell in these busy areas.
