A MOBILE librarian with Doncaster Library Service has been recognised in a national contest for her outstanding service to customers.
Karen Cooper was commended in the Mobile Library Champion awards in which nominees from across the UK were judged on a range of qualities including ‘going the extra mile’ for customers.
Three decades after starting as a Saturday assistant, the 47-year-old from Edlington was nominated by her manager and her entry was backed by several regular users. “I am grateful to the library users for all of their kind comments,” she said.
“I love being a mobile librarian because I get to meet so many interesting people.”
