The recent visit to Twickenham was the culmination of Barnsley Aacademy’s involvement in the All School’s’ initiative, run by the Rugby Football Union and supported by commercial property and real estate services advisor, CBRE, to encourage more students into playing rugby.

As part of the initiative, the Worsbrough-based school receive a variety of brand new rugby equipment last summer for the students to use in curricular and enrichment time. This was followed up with the academy’s rugby squad members - Rohan Bradley and Aaron Totty - being asked to help design a kit for the school, incorporating ideas from the heritage of Barnsley with the academy colours of royal blue, black and white.
