Foster was a late inclusion for last weekend’s heavy defeat to Batley, and the Centurions youngster looks set to be released again into the care of Eagles as they take on the unbeaten league leaders.

The versatile 23-year-old will give director Mark Aston options at hooker or half-back. “Leigh have their own issues, they have injuries so it’s all hands on deck for them,” Aston said, on the possibility of adding extra names to his squad.

“That means we’ll only be getting young Lewis again this weekend, but we’re pleased to have him, he is a good kid.

“We only had an 18 man squad last weekend. That said it is great going to a place like Hull KR, they are top of the ladder, and everyone is singing and dancing about them. We looking forward to going there and making a fist of it and being happier in our performance.”

Eagles have yet to see injured Huddersfield loanee Liam Johnson in action after a season long loan from the Super League side.

Aston says the second-rower is in contention for his debut after being ruled out last weekend with a knee issue.

“He got a knock on his knee last week in the days building up to the game so he wasn’t fit and had to pull out,” Aston confirmed.

“He’ll be back though for Hull KR, and I think it’ll very similar to the squad that we had last week. They will be sent out there to put the wrongs right. They need to show that they warrant a shirt because I felt on Sunday for the fans that came to watch. The players let them down, we duly apologise for that and we want to make it right.”

Meanwhile, ex-Eagle Cory Aston has signed a loan deal with Featherstone Rovers.

He left the Eagles in the close season to join Leeds for an undisclosed fee.
