Letter writing, a dying art

The letter was addressed, with the right postcode and had the correct postage on it.

The card was in pristine condition as though it had only been posted the day before.

I contacted the sender to say thank you, she was as dumbfounded as me, and added that it had been posted a good few days before my birthday.

In the past, two cards have been sent from the same household, same first class stamps and I’ve received one on time and one a few days later.

I agree, that they do a wonderful job but sometimes like all companies they make mistakes.

I too like putting pen to paper, a dying art.
