FINAL plans are under way for the famous Stanage Stumble.
It takes place on Sunday, May 6. when about 350 supporters of the charity Home Start will set off at 9am on the annual walk.
The challenging 10, 17 or 25-mile walks take in the Limb Valley, Fox House, Higger Tor, Stanage Edge and Redmires Moors.
An entry fee of £10 includes a certificate, badge and hot meal following completion.
David Jepson, organiser, said: “The 25-mile route is through an area of outstanding natural beauty, but with a 3,500ft ascent. The 10 and 17 mile routes are more do-able. A few paths are tricky underfoot, so we urge walkers to be reasonably fit, prepared and wear the correct footwear.”
