Lessons in crime straight to the point

STUDENTS at Doncaster College received a visit from Robin Hood and his merry men to warn them of the dangers of crime.

The Safer Doncaster Partnership (SDP) visited The Hub this week to hold the college's first street safe surgery, with the outlaw among the attractions to get a crime prevention message home.

With over 4,000 full time students starting a new term at Doncaster College this month, the SDP wanted to make sure that their brains are securely in safety mode.

Sgt Kev Drewett from Doncaster’s Crime Reduction Team said: “The aim of the street safe surgery is to reduce the risk of students becoming a victim of crime so they can spend less time worrying and more time enjoying their student days!”
