Lesley all set for City Hall

DONCASTER-born soprano Lesley Garrett is to perform at Sheffield City Hall later this month to launch the 2007-08 International Concert Season.

Lesley, who regularly appears in both opera, concert and television, presents a gala evening to celebrate Sheffield City Hall’s 75th anniversary with a programme of opera and classical favourites on Saturday September 29.

Lesley will be joined by her co-stars from BBC TV’s Strictly Come Dancing, ballroom dancers Erin Boag and Anton du Beke for the extravaganza of music and dance.

Sheffield Philharmonic Chorus have always been a central part of the Sheffield International Concert Series and they will be joining the anniversary celebrations with Manchester Camerata conducted by Philip Ellis.
