Learning disability consultation launched

Rotherham Council has launched a formal consultation on what the borough's autism and learning disability offer could look like in the future.

The consultation invites people to give their views on more innovative ways of delivering services which promote independence and choice. The decision to go ahead with this consultation was agreed at the Cabinet and Commissioners’ decision-making meeting in November, and will ensure that all interested parties have the chance to have their say.

Rotherham Council’s cabinet member for adult social care, Coun David Roche, said: “We want to hear from as many people as possible including customers, carers, and families with young people who may use services in the future.”
