Learn martial arts skills and help sick kids at hospice

Have your say

A martial arts master has launched free training sessions for charity.

Callum Phillips, of CP Martial Arts, runs lessons at the Basset Pub, Cowper Avenue, Parson Cross, from 6pm to 7pm every Tuesday.

The sessions are free – all Callum asks for is a donation to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

Callum, aged 20, of Gleadless said: “I’m trying to get kids off the street, and at the same time help them to gain self confidence and the skills to protect themselves.”

Callum, a second dan black belt, teaches freestyle karate, freestyle kickboxing, mixed martial arts and self- defence skills.

n Anyone aged five to 65 can attend. Call 07811 943634.
