A CHAPEL which was the power house of Sheffield radicals 200 years ago is the theme of a free talk in the same building.

Upper Chapel is now a Unitarian haven near The Crucible theatre, Sheffield city centre.

But the Grade II-listed building was previously used by people who called for revolution and who the authorities may have regarded as dangerous troublemakers.

David Price, author of Sheffield Troublemakers, Rebels and Radicals in Sheffield History, will talk about the chapel’s history on Thursday, at 7.30pm, in Upper Chapel.
