A lawyer has been selected as the Conservative candidate for Chesterfield in next year’s general election.
Mark Vivis, aged 39, says his key campaign will be to lobby for the town as a ‘place for economic growth’.
He is hosting a public meeting and drop in session on Saturday January 17th to meet local people before launching his campaign. The venue has not been chosen.
The former district councillor and school governor said: “I’ve got strong links with Derbyshire, my mum grew up here, so I am over the moon to have been selected to fight for Chesterfield and hopefully be elected as the local MP next year.”
