A Sheffield-based firm of solictors is helping to bring a 100-year-old sports club into the 21st century.

Taylor & Emmet has donated a suite of computers to the Killamarsh Junior Athletic Club and Institute, established in 1911.

The computers will enable the club to keep accounting records and respond to enquiries by email.

Martin Potts, an IT expert for Taylor and Emmet who also sits on the board at Killamarsh Juniors, said: “Killamarsh Juniors is not just a sports club, it also serves as an entertainment venue and meeting place for the entire community. We hope our donation will enable it to continue to thrive for another 100 years.”

Club chairman Jim Towns said: “We hope Martin will be keeping an eye on us to ensure we maximise the opportunities the equipment presents.”
