Sheffield schoolgirl Lauren Houghton gave a major boost to St Luke’s Hospice with a special fundraising evening.
Lauren, aged 13, knows all about the work of Sheffield’s only hospice as her grandad Clive was a patient, while mum Julie works on the St Luke’s housekeeping team.
Lauren hosted an evening of live music recently, at the Forest pub in Rutland Road, which raised £780.75.
St Luke’s community fundraiser Noni Bryson said: “Lauren is absolute proof that you’re never too young to do something really special.
“We are delighted she chose to support us.”
