Have your say

Scores of Sheffield Steelers fans trooped around the city’s Five Weirs Walk today, in honour of Amy Usher, the young fan who died of cancer on Thursday.

Among their number were Dave Simms, Neil Edwards and Elliott Hall, who had walked a 90 mile Birmingham to Sheffield route to raise the bulk of the £20,000 which has so far come in for Weston Park cancer hospital.

In our video, taken half way round the east-end to Wicker Arches pathway, Hall said he was “extremely proud” of the amount raised adding he was “even more proud of the difference it will make to lots of people.

“I imagine that the ‘For Amy’ legacy is going to be just that, it is going to be something that a lot of people are going to work for.”

One of the other walkers was Sheffield boxer Adam Etches, who is an ambassador for Weston Park cancer unit.

The event was attended by Amy’s family.
