Sheffield OAP suffers serious injuries after car collision with brick wall

A pensioner had to be taken to hospital with serious injuries after he was involved in a collision with a wall.

The 69-year-old man was involved in the single car crash near Sheffield College Peaks Centre and was later taken to hospital.

The incident happened at around 10.20am at the junction with Waterthorpe Greenway roundabout today (June 25)

A blue Vauxhall Insignia car was travelling along Moss Way, Owlthorpe, Sheffield, when it left the road, went down an embankment, and hit a wall.

The driver is still in hospital.

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the incident.

Members of the public are being urged to come forward and contact South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting the incident number 311 of June 25 2015.
