Roads in a Sheffield suburb are expected to remain closed for most of the morning after a house blaze.

A farmhouse in Spout Lane, Stannington, was found engulfed in flames at around 3.10am this morning.

The blaze caused extensive damage to the property, leaving the structure deemed too unsafe for firefighters to enter initially.

It has not yet been disclosed whether anyone was in the house at the time.

Part of Spout Lane, Acorn Way and Acorn Drive are closed off while emergency services deal with the incident.
