Artist Faunagraphic’s bird nest mural on the Red Lion pub on Charles Street, and her husband Rocket01’s spacewoman by Abbeydale Picture House, have both been ‘tagged’ or sprayed over - each for the second time.

Faunagraphic has patched up her work this morning.

The news comes after the couple's popular pieces such as the portraits of Sir David Attenborough and Sir Patrick Moore were defaced last Wednesday night.

The attacks have coincided with an event where 15 artists from across the world came to Sheffield to create new murals.

Feature Walls, which was organised to celebrate the city's creativity, is part of the citywide Year Of Making project.

Andy Carter, who runs the Twitter account Street Art Sheffield, said: “Feature Walls has been a great event for Sheffield.

“It is a shame some see it as an opportunity to destroy.”
