Latest flood relief concert for Doncaster victims raises more than £2,000
The latest concert in aid of flood victims in Doncaster has raised more than £2,000.
The event, held last night at Edenthorpe’s Park Social Club, comes after a concert by up and coming Doncaster band Bang Bang Romeo raised more than £7,000.
Rock band Patriots UK and performers Adi Brown, Brooke Hardy and Laura Hardy took to the stage to raise more than £2,100.
Spokesman Jodene Whitfield said on Facebook: “Wow wow wow! What a night! I’m overwhelmed by that amount from such a small club.”
“A huge thank you to everybody that has supported the event by buying raffle tickets, auction items and donating prizes – our little club and community is amazing!”
“I am so proud to be part of this community that pulls together when it matters the most. Thank you everybody.”
Another fundraising concert, again featuring Bang Bang Romeo, Sheffield’s Everly Pregnant Brothers, The Chase star Paul Sinha and comedians Justin Moorhouse and Tom Wrigglesworth will be held at The Dome on December 10.
