A large knife has been thrown onto the road in a suburb of Sheffield.

The incident happened this afternoon near Sicey Avenue and Hatfield House Lane in the Shiregreen / Firth Park area.

Officers say an 'unknown person' threw the large knife onto the street before it was retrieved and removed by nearby PCSOs.
