Lane re-open on M1 after car fire

One of two lanes of the M1 closed after a car fire has re-opened.

Two soundbound lanes between junctions 34 and 35 - Tinsley and Thorpe Hesley - were closed earlier while firefighters tackled the blaze.

One of the lanes has now re-opened.

A Highways England spokesman said: "Fire crews have left the scene, recovery has been requested.

"Delays are starting to ease."
