LEADING ladies shared forthright and funny stories of how they got to the top at a sell-out talk.
Five women in top business, politics and civic roles across South Yorkshire starred in the night at Sheffield Hallam University’s Pennine Lecture Theatre.
Big crowds attended the talk and enjoyed the sometimes touching tales of achievement. The event celebrated the fact that, for the first time, the most significant roles in the region are held by women.
The leading ladies were Pam Liversidge OBE, the first female Master Cutler in the company’s history, Suzanne Liversidge, the first female president of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, Julie Kenny CBE, chairwoman of Yorkshire Forward and soon-to-be High Sheriff of South Yorkshire, Coun Sylvia Dunkley, Sheffield’s 15th female Lord Mayor and Sheffield Council leader Coun Julie Dore.
