Lack of long-term ambition at the Lane

Once again, we have proved we are not good enough to challenge for automatic promotion, and to be quite frank, even if we manage to get into the play-offs, I cannot see us going into the Championship.

United’s players are letting their manager and fans down.

We have players who have left, and are playing with Championship and Premier League teams, because the board will not back the manager by giving him more money to make a serious bid for decent players.

I suspect if Nigel Adkins doesn’t get promotion through the play-offs, he will go, and the whole team saga will start again.

Interestingly, I heard from a very good source that one of the reasons why students don’t always pick Sheffield, it that it has no Premier League Teams, and yet it is a big city.

Prove me wrong on all counts.
