Labour and Conservative

It would seem that N Palfreyman (May 26) who responded to my letter, makes the mistake of comparing Labour to Conservatives and vice-versa.

Whilst this may have once been the scenario it now no longer applies.

For decades voters have viewed Conservatve and Labour as being “two self-serving peas out of the same pod” who both rely on a minority First Past the Post (FPTP result).

This has led to voter apathy that has set alarm bells ringing.

Fortunately the emergence of newer and fresher political parties has provided the electorate with the long-awaited choice of eventually confining Conservative and Labour to the archives.
