A knuckleduster and fireworks were dumped by youths running away from police officers on a Sheffield estate.

South Yorkshire Police said the items were dumped on the streets of Parson Cross this week.

An investigation is now underway.

A spokesman said: "Fireworks and an offensive weapon were seen to be discarded by youths when making off from officers in the Parson Cross area."
