The knives are out for college managers in Ready, Steady, Cook contest

DONCASTER Colleges's acting principal Bill Webster put his culinary skills to the test when he took part in a cook-off during induction week for students.

With thousands of students starting back at Doncaster College this month, a number of activities took place to welcome them and get them involved.

The highlight of the week saw college managers compete in a Ready, Steady, Cook competition, in which Bill came out on top.

Hundreds of students turned up to watch the event in The Hub’s drama theatre as Bill beat Director of Planning Kevin Goodinson.

Many other events took place across the campus throughout the week such as medieval re-enactments, taekwondo, hair and nail styling, football and basketball tournaments, relaxation sessions, circus skills, floristry workshops, balloon artistry and an information fair.
