Police have seized a huge knife while patrolling Sheffield's streets.
Neighbourhood officers recovered a weapon with a 10-inch blade close to Mount Pleasant Park, off Abbeydale Road in Sharrow, shortly after chasing several men who fled the scene.
Revealing the find in the early hours of this morning, South Yorkshire Police said: "Sharrow neighbourhood officers on patrol sighted a group of males at Mount Pleasant Park. The group quickly ran from officers who pursued and after a foot chase a knife was recovered nearby."
The item appeared to be a large hunting blade; its accompanying nylon sheath was also picked up.
"Another knife recovered from Sheffield's streets," police said.
