Knife-wielding teens injure woman in early-morning Sheffield robbery

A woman has been injured following an armed robbery by a pair of knife-wielding teenagers in Sheffield this morning.

The 29-year-old woman cut her hand after pushing away a knife she was being threatened with.

The incident happened at about 8.40am this morning on Sitwell Road in Sharrow.

Two unknown teenage boys are alleged to have approached the woman and demanded she hand over her handbag.

When she did not do so, one of the boys is believed to have threatened her with a knife.

The victim sustained a cut to her hand while she pushed the knife away, before dropping her handbag and running away.

The suspects are described as being Asian and around 16-years-old.

Both are described as being of slim build.

One of the teenagers is described as wearing black clothing and a baseball cap.
