It’s close. In fact, it couldn’t be any closer! Sheffield Wednesday’s Keiren Westwood and Sheffield United’s Simon Moore are the meanest goalkeepers in our region. They jointly top The Star’s chart this season, with nothing to split them. Westwood has been beaten on just 31 occasions in 32 Owls games, while Moore’s net has been breached 32 times in 33 Blades fixtures. When the maths are done, in terms of number of goals conceded per game, the pair come in with 0.97 averages. Both are going for promotion, both are key men, both are pulling out all the stops.
