Kinder path repair target is reached

Supporters have reached a £10,000 fundraising target to repair a damaged stretch of footpath in the Peak District.

More than £12,400 has been pledged towards the estimated £28,000 cost of restoring an eroded section of a path below the Ringing Roger rocky outcrop on Kinder Scout.

The scheme is part of the Mend Our Mountains campaign, launched by the British Mountaineering Council earlier this year to fund eight upland repair projects.
