Killer gunman still on the loose after murder in Sheffield

A killer gunman who opened fire in a Sheffield street is still on the run.

Aseel Al-Essaie, aged 23, was shot in his chest in Daniel Hill, Upperthorpe, as he arrived at a family gathering to celebrate his twin sister's engagement.

He was rushed to hospital but could not be revived.

Eight arrests have been made over the killing, with suspects held on suspicion of murder, conspiracy to commit murder and assisting offenders.

They have all been bailed pending further enquiries.
